Describe an object or symbol in Macbeth and explain how it helped you to understand a character.

Macbeth is a play based in Scotland around 700 years ago that focuses on the downfall of the character Macbeth, as a result of his following his dire ambition to become King. William Shakespeare uses symbolism in the play to help explain his ideas of guilt and insanity. He uses the symbols like an invisible dagger and the presence of blood to show how his greed for his ambition doesn’t let anyone get in his way.
